Subcon Europe has been awarded the Brighton Marina Caisson Remediation Project
Subcon Europe NV is pleased to announce it has been awarded the Brighton Marina Caisson Remediation Project. In a first phase, the scope comprises of the bulk remediation grouting on 10 caissons that form part of the Brighton Marina East Breakwater in close collaboration with Client BMA and Hensley Orrel Partnership consulting Engineers. Subcon will be providing a complete solution, including all marine, dredging and batching spreads required for the removal and recycling of existing caisson ballast as well as the injection of over 8000m3 of concrete.
Subcon will be deploying their innovative duplex pan batching spread, in combination with a string of floating equipment to provide a self-contained and highly efficient solution that avoids intense supply chain traffic through the Marina and thus long term disturbances for all residents. Typically built for ultra-high strength wind farm foundation grouting, this vessel based batching plant will now demonstrate its tremendous versatility by bringing state of the art offshore technology to near-shore marine environments.
Subcon's European Manager, Vic Bauwens, said: "The Brighton Marina Caisson Remediation concept draws on expertise from various disciplines and industries to provide a strikingly efficient solution. This defining project marks Subcon's successful global expansion and demonstrates our unique ability to bring value to our clients through technical ingenuity and hardboiled offshore experience.
